Giuseppe Palumbo

"Creating a visceral or intuitive experience to a fistful of clay or pulse to a crucible of molten metal is my objective. Sculpting and fine art are the natural progression from my decades of designing and building, spanning architecture to furniture and jewelry. The components that make each of these successful remain constant: concept, proportion, aesthetics and execution. I strive to add the intangible, some soul, the visual language that words inadequately convey.

With a foundation in classical training my interest is not to replicate an object or being, but to create a spirit or archetype that is felt as well as seen. I am curious about the unheard voice beyond the academic, believing that true knowledge is a subjective process from within."
