Bob Bruu
Bob Bruu is a diverse artist, with work sourced from his love for sports and the outdoors, ranging from paintings in acrylics and watercolors to sketches in graphite and ink to his latest medium of choice - wood. Bob is fascinated by the finer details in his subjects and the drive to depict that realism can be seen in his work. Bob's current focus is on creating wood sculptures. He’s drawn to the process of watching a piece of wood come to life. He's been fortunate to work with a number of well-trained wood carvers over the years and learned a lot by sharing a passion for carving. Using a combination of hand and power carving tools, an average piece can take anywhere from 40 to 200+ hours to carve. Various paint and stains complete each piece. Creating unique wood sculptures that fool the eye is his passion and goal.
