Bill Braun
Bill Braun is one of the modern masters of Trompe L’oeil, or to fool the eye. From a distance, Braun’s work looks like a paper collage made by a child, but upon closer inspection people realize that the pieces are actually 100% acrylic paint on canvas. Everything from the crinkled background to the staples is cleverly painted on the canvas to give the illusion on paper, depth, and shadows.
