Atossa

Growing up, mirages fascinated Atossa. Mesmerized by that shimmering haze floating in the air, they seemed to draw her closer but then vanish. That fascination continues today and manifests itself in her painting. Through her work, she explores the inherent dualities in mirage: simple yet complex, existent yet illusory, present yet absent. She brings out the duality in mood, the contrasting emotions, the enigma behind the surface, and leaves room for personal interpretation.
